This was made for my husband's grandfather. The family requested I incorporate different elements of his life on the cake. The bottom tier represents his time in the Army, as a 66th Infantry Black Panther officer. The middle tier represents his career as a barber. The top tier represents his favorite hobby of gardening. The topper is a sculpture of his pet, a Yorkie, which he loves very much! All cakes were covered in MM fondant. The decorations were made of various mediums: royal icing, gumpaste, modeling fondant, and regular MM fondant. It was a HUGE hit!
