Hi There!

This is my third cake ever - our neighbor's appendix burst and he was in the hospital for over two weeks. You cannot read it from this angle, but the inscription says "Life is like a box of chocolate. Sorry you got a bad one!" The pattern for this was actually a mother's day cake that I changed pretty much completely. It is Marshmallow Fondant and completely edible except for the core of the top of the box (Styrofoam!). I used real candies, not fondant ones, for the candies in the box. It was ambitious after only one (ugly) cake and a cake made from the ugly cake scraps, but I am happy with it overall! I would make the polka dots a little bit thinner if I were to redo it.
