I made this cake for my friends daughter for her third birthday. She wanted Ariel and flounder and I wasn't comfortable that I could sculpt a good 3D ariel and get the facial features right so I did it this way. Its vanilla cake with buttercream icing with fondant decorations. The under the sea part of it was inspired by Jen Whitlock's beautiful under the sea cake.
