My first books and first completely fondant covered cakes. Thanks to SweetcakesTB and sjlarby for all their input, suggestions and gorgeous cakes that inspired me. This was allot harder than I had anticipated and didn't turn out as nice as I wanted. The bride was an English major and wanted these authors. The reception was at a wine bistro and the walls were lined with wine boxes--not such a great background, but different! Oh, I did receive great emails from the parents of the bride : )

Agree with teekakes .... these look like real books! Especially the black Poe book. It really looks 'aged' and worn, just like a good book should look! What an inspirational cake!!
