Sherman & Kim's Wedding Cake
This wedding cake is my version of the cake on the front page of Wilton's Wedding Cakes Book "A Romantic Portfolio" (also on page 72). The bride & groom asked me to do this cake 3 wks before the wedding. I didn't have time to do fondant roses so I did all the roses in royal icing. Cake sizes 8", 12", 16". This cake almost put an end to my decorating! I had a lot of disasters happen! Isn't the topper so cute?! The groom bear is in his Air Force blues! I hope you all like it~
very pretty .. great job!
Thank you!!
I forgot to mention... the cake isn't crooked.. I'm like a lot of other people... I can't take a straight pic for nothing!! LOL
That is very pretty! You did a wonderful job!
GORGEOUS!!!!! I love it Miss Turtley!! Its a lot like the next one I have to do from the cover of wilton weddings - A Romantic Portfolio, except with BC instead of fondant.
That's what I did it after (Romantic Portifolio) Karyn~ Mine is royal roses instead of fondant~ Thanks you 2!!
This is just beautiful. I love bears. :)
Beautiful cake TC!!! It's so pretty and the roses look fantastic, plus the icing is so smooth!!! WAY TO GO TINA!!
You did a GREAT JOB!!!!!! I love it and am so happy it turned out for you. I know your customers had to love it. I LOVE IT!!!!
Fabulous job Tina!! It's so beautiful!!!!!!!!! ;-D
oops..I feel goofy now, I see where you titled it from the wilton book! But I didnt see it before...so you truly did a good job because I was able to tell what it was! modeled after without knowing! I am doing mine in my rounded edge pans and gonna try the faux fondant technique for the 1st time
Fantastic cake! Great job! :)
WOW tc this cake is just amazing and I love the roses, you did a SUPPER JOB:)
Very pretty, Turtle! They must have been VERY pleased!
Thanks everyone!! My day is made! That is the smoothest I've ever gotten a cake. That's hard! The roses took the longest. KayDay... I didn't think you read the description. I can't wait to see your cake! My customers loved it! Woo! I was worried!! Thanks EVERYONE!! KayDay.. don't mix the faux fondant too long. It will get bubbles in it. Those are hard to get out when you smooth the icing. I like faux fodant. I think you will too.
Thanks! Aren't they sweet! I want this set! I forgot to ask where the bride bought them.
Beautiful cake! I am sure those roses took a long time and just about killed your hands but they are gorgeous!
Very Beautiful! It look wonderful1
I agree....Very pretty indeed....The cake looks "GREAT"!!!
Ok, I just finished mine thats similar it wasn't as easy of a design as I had thought originally! It is never as easy as it looks, huh? LOL
Thank you so much~
