Sherman & Kim's Wedding Cake

This wedding cake is my version of the cake on the front page of Wilton's Wedding Cakes Book "A Romantic Portfolio" (also on page 72). The bride & groom asked me to do this cake 3 wks before the wedding. I didn't have time to do fondant roses so I did all the roses in royal icing. Cake sizes 8", 12", 16". This cake almost put an end to my decorating! I had a lot of disasters happen! Isn't the topper so cute?! The groom bear is in his Air Force blues! I hope you all like it~

GORGEOUS!!!!! I love it Miss Turtley!! Its a lot like the next one I have to do from the cover of wilton weddings - A Romantic Portfolio, except with BC instead of fondant.

Thanks everyone!! My day is made! That is the smoothest I've ever gotten a cake. That's hard! The roses took the longest. KayDay... I didn't think you read the description. I can't wait to see your cake! My customers loved it! Woo! I was worried!! Thanks EVERYONE!! KayDay.. don't mix the faux fondant too long. It will get bubbles in it. Those are hard to get out when you smooth the icing. I like faux fodant. I think you will too.
