Chocolate With Curls And Raspberries
First Wedding Cake! Not the greatest, but the MOB gave me a hug when I was done, so it must not have been as terrible as I thought :) Chocolate Wacky cake with whipped chocolate ganache and chocolate bc crumb coat. Covered in chocolate fondant with semi-sweet chocolate shavings and raspberries for garnish. If anyone can give me some constructive critisism on how to make it better that would be great.
Thanks!
looks to good to eat!!
No need for criticism. Good job
This is wonderful! The corners tilt downward a bit.. but since they all do it.. I assume you meant them too.. and they look great! Nice job :)
critisism...are you nuts??? that cakes looks wonderful...great job
Ummm....Sorry, but I don't see a THING that looks "changeable," either! Beautiful cake.
This is NOT criticism, because I just did my first cake (for someone other than me, anyway). The only thing I could question is if the cakes were levelled? If the tops of the cakes were rounded on top, then it might account for the downward tipping of the corners. I think the cake looks lovely and delicious!
thank you all for the wonderful comments! No i didn't mean for the corners to droop...I used the towel method to mush down the dome so the cake was level without cutting it. I think it works fine for bc cakes, but I have a feeling the fondant mushes the corners that aren't as compacted as the rest of the cake. It was level when I started anyway :) Will have to actually start cutting them now and see if that helps.
chocolate dream!
