wow did you use a 1/2 pan for the 18 inch? I did a 16 inch and it was really heavy. Can't imagine the wt of an 18. Beautiful....

sundine2...I did use an 18" half pan. I don't think I could have fit a whole pan in my oven and besides, I couldn't find one! I can't even find a 16".

Thank you for the nice comments! The bride couldn't come up with enough daisies so it is a mixture of real and silk flowers. The blue ones were silk. The bride also wanted the cakes sitting on the glass that has the fruit in it! When I told her that there was no way they would hold up this cake, I had to run home and get my crystal stands. The 18" wouldn't fit on anything but the table!!

Your presentation is beautiful and the cakes look great! That could've been a disaster with the cakes on the "fruit" stands..good call on your part!

This is beautiful! The blue gerbers really add a lot to how this pops. I did a 14" round torted and filled last week and that thing was dang heavy! Do they make a 16" in a half pan? Because that's what's what I'd want if I did one that big. It'd bake much easier. This 14" took 1 1/2 hours at least. Where did you get the crystal stands because they are very attractive!?!
