Owl themed cake. 7 layers of alternating fresh strawberry cake and vanilla bean cake, filled with strawberry buttercream and finished in a sky blue very vanilla buttercream. All decorations, 3D tree and owl were handmade from marshmallow fondant. The tree was made using flower wire and covered in fondant. I made the nest and owl out of a very hardened block of fondant which I sculptured into the base shape and then covered and decorated.
