Wedding Shower Castle

Wedding Shower Castle on Cake Central

A friend requested this cake for their hair dresser. The salon was giving her a wedding shower and wanted a castle cake. The bottom was two 14" layers and two 10" layers for the top. The salon set it up in front of a mirror with a spotlight and added greenery around the bottom.

OMG, that is so beautiful! At first glance, it seems like you can see "into" the cake through the windows. BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Thank you!! The cake sides are buttercream and I used a stone impression mat. The towers are paper towel rolls lightly brushed with egg white and then covered with stone impressed fondant. The dental mold is 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. It was fun to make but took forever, plus two people to carry it!

This is beautiful! You know Wiltons new contest is a castle contest...you would have to recreate the cake using their castle set but I bet you would win!!!!!!

I have to say this is my favourite castle cake yet. I love the subtle colors and the brick looks so real. Great Job !!!!
