I love the idea of making the decorations ahead of time so I'm definately going to try the chocolate technique. The perspective of the city is perfect.

I just got the Whimsical Bakehouse book today and saw these designs and some others in it. We're inspired by the same works...as I'm sure most of us are. Lovely work!

I love the Whimsical Bakehouse book. My daughter actually got a birthday cake from their bakery and that's how I was turned on to them. As for the cell phones, my son-in law's job requires them.I always kid him about it. :)

Belle808 Thanks for the compliment. :) The cake was a basic pound cake recipe and the icing was the wilton buttercream.
