Monkeying Around
The bottom is a marble cake and the monkey is all chocolate. The border is made of bannana gummies. This was for my nephew's birthday monkey theme party. It turned out nice until I put it in my fridge against something (you can see a line in the monkeys face where the buttercream was flattened). At that point I didn't have any buttercream left (I thought I was done and got rid of the leftovers). Oh well, my nephew loved it.
very cute
Did you use the animal pan?
very cute...i wish i would have een this a couple of weeks ago, i would have done one like this instead of the one i did make...i may have to borrow this idea sometime''
I used the wilton animal pan for the face. The Wilton magazine has this monkey as a sample of what you can do with that pan. Easy when you just copy the idea!!!
LOVE this! Stupid question- do you have to use support rods for placing monkey face on square cake?!? Thanks! :)
