Thanks all......I used the lamb pan and then I cut off the lamb ears...took scissors and trimmed them and re-attached to deer head with a toothpick. The antlers are made from coathanger wireand covered in foil and masking tape. I then just iced them in buttercream and stuck them in the freezer until I got ready to insert them.
I did not use any tips...I applied the dark icing on very thick with a spatula and then used a plastic hair pick (one that is new and only used for my cakes) to run through the icing and then I just dipped the pick into the lighter icing and blended it into the dark. I then used an artist paint brush to do the neck, eyes, ears nose. The nose area was built up by just aplying the icing with a letter opener (one of my favorite tools to use).
Viola...I don't have any written directions...this was the first time I made this so I just winged it! But I would be happy to help you in anyway possible. Mainly what I have written on here is how it was made.
