Nov 2009 fall / autumn cake I made for thanksgiving. It has a squirrel ( made from modeling chocolate and fondant) "tossing" autumn leaves up into the air above his head... behind him are two pumpkinds ( cereal treat/modeling chocolate and fondant) amd cake is adorned with other sculpted edibles : acorns, leaves, snails, & mushrooms, This is suppossed to look like a forest / pumpkin patch/autumn scene. Cake is covered in fondant. "leaves" are supported by a thin wire and glued on with melted wilton candy (chocolate) melts all partys are edible ecept the wire and a few dowels and the cake board type stuff. The cake was carrot spice with cream cheese buttercream.
