I recently took a class at work called "Effective Presentations". It's learning how to create a presentation and how to present. We attend a 1 class on learning then create our own presentation and present it 2 weeks later.
Since we could do anything, I chose "Cake as Art". I used a lot of pictures of cakes to explain different types of decorations and how they are used. Of course, I had to go pull some cake wrecks to show "cake NOT as art". I also made a cake to share with the class after my presentation. It was chocolate fudge cake with raspberry filling and covered with fondant.
The greatest thing was hearing things like "I didn't know that was possible" and "the cake is so cool". I knew I had made my point when I was hearing those things after my presentation.
Yep, I made an 'A'.
I wish I could have been there! I LUV hearing a good presentation and sounds like you nailed it!
You should post your presentation this way we to can educate cake muggles around the world!
LOL I really love the term "cake muggles" LOL.
Congrats on the A for you presentation!
Thanks everyone! It was a blast to do. We had to limit our presentation to 15 or I could have gone on and on. The first time I timed it (in practice), it was 25 min. so I had to start cutting out stuff. I hate talking in front of people so that was one of the reasons I took the class but when you have a passion for something you get to speak about, it's alot easier.
