How Do I Make My Rose Petals Smooth?

I used to have no problem making my roses. But the past year or so, I keep getting ragged edges. I have heard that it may be due to the "new Crisco". Does anyone have any solutions? Thank you so much for your help!

i use the new crisco and haven't had any problems. maybe you should try adding a little liquid to your icing...it sounds like it may be too thick. icon_wink.gif

Try some piping gel in it. That will smooth those petals out. You may also need to open the narrow end of your tip up a bit.

I agree with Diane, I would just add more liquid to your icing.
