They're going down this list...in order?!
I am so upset..... not wanting to lose hope... but I feel like they just won't get it done....
Maybe the pace starts picking up as the day goes along... is that what ya'll are seeing???
Maybe we need to drop in on them and provide the chamber room with lots of cupcakes and cakes to get that sugar high flowing !!!
ok so i have a stupid question lol i have been trying to read through this
thread but have given up. now on to my question if this passes through
the house does that mean its passed or does it have to go up another
level and get passed again?

this is just the House. It will still have to go through the Senate. Then ... as I understand it ... Governor Perry will have to sign it .... or not .....
I love the play by play !!! Thanks for sharing to those that are able to watch/listen....
My coworkers have been getting updates for three days now ... every time they come in my office!
This link will take you to the process for a bill to be passed and will also show what step the bill is on.

SB 1011 is the Senate Companion to HB 3390. It is essentially the same bill, just from the Senate.
They are on SB1011....I dont see that one on the list
SB 1011 is a Sunset Bill that is tied to HB 3390. I don't understand SB's ... I thought it stood for Senate bill and didn't understand why it was in the House. When this speaker started, she said "this is the Sunset Bill ... Texas Commission on Fire Protection."
k, I took the document that someone posted earlier with the list of bills and I made it into an excel spreadsheet and then deleted all the info associated so that just have the bill numbers showing up. Since HB3480 was the last one someone mentioned being read I made HB 3480 at the number 1 position on the spreadsheet and HB 3282 ended up on line 182...........so it looks like there are 181 bills to be read between now and HB 3282.
can I count this as government credit in my cirriculum??? I think I am learning more here about the process, etc..... than in school!!!

SB stand for senate bill which means it originated in the senate.

wow, this is confusing........guess my spreadsheet is worthless if they are skipping around........
Is it just a coincidence that Sunset Bill and Senate Bill are both SB's? I googled "sunset bill" and there are tons of links - TxDOT, DPS, Forest Service, insurance, Homeowners - all have sunset bills ... I have yet to find a definition. Does someone know?

They aren't skipping around, but ...
SB's (not on the list) are coming in when they get to the corresponding HB and ...
some of the bills (from earlier on the list) have been postponed until a certain time. Once that time gets here, they will hear that particular bill. Other than these two instances, they have stayed in perfect order.
Thanks for doing the spreadsheet. Having a general idea of the number of bills left is very helpful to me.
