Ok, I bought this for 4.00 in a resale shop, I need to know how much batter to use to make a school bus, or anything for that matter, and how long to bake it. I cant find this pan anywhere for help.

Its made by WEST BEND and the size is: 15 1/2x 4 1/2x 4 1/2

ALSO DO I NEED TO USE A HEATING CORE, ONE OR TWO????

thanks.

welllllll............
I'd say you are going to need batter = to 2 cake mixes.
To get an idea of how much fill the pan about 2/3rds full of water and measure that.
Such a deep pan/cake is going to take a long time to bake properly. It's hard to say how long but definitely until you can smell it, then test w/toothpick in center. I'm betting at least 1 hr.; probably more @ 325* F. I'm not one for heating cores but for this would.... suggest two flower nails....about 2"-3" in from each end......and I'd cover the ends w/wet towels (BES; if you don't have them wet paper towels & stick them on. If they don't stick to the pan they are not wet enough).
