Two New Techniques Tried This Weekend! :)

I'm so proud of myself and so excited to have tried... and done well on, IMO!... two new techniques on my last cake. The first one I tried was a FBCT. Never done one before and, granted, this one is fairly simplistic but, I was tickled with the way it turned out. I used the tutorial from on here. Second trick I tried was to use a small foam roller to smooth out my buttercream frosting. It worked great! Thanks, CC, for all the help!
The picture of the vest is the logo for my FIL's motorcycle club and is what I had to copy onto the cake. It says "Creed Brotherhood".
The detail is wonderful! Great job!
It was the FBCT that pulled me into CC, so I understand your excitement!! And your first one looks MUCH better than mine did!
What is FBCT? I know what it stands for because I looked it up (thank God for the list) but how do you do it? Thanks.
Lisa
Thanks, y'all! I appreciate the positive comments.
IcedTea (Lisa)-- this is the tutorial that I used to help me figure out how to make a FBCT. Hope it helps! http://www.cakecentral.com/article12-How-To-Create-a-Frozen-Buttercream-Transfer.html
This looks just like the jacket! My only critique is in your post where you said it was a simple design. It looks quite detailed to me!
Y'all are very kind. JammJenks-- to me, it seems very simple considering there are only two colors involved. I'm looking forward to trying something more complicated involving more colors. Thanks again, everyone!
Wooooooooo!!!! I love them You did an A M A Z I N G job , congratulations, God bless your creativity.
Good for you! Looks great. This site is so helpful to having us newbies step out of the box.
