I've got some left over Antonia 74 and thought I'd make some mums to put on cupcakes for a bake sale. I don't have the consistency right. As I try to make the petals, it's pulling. I don't get a clean break.
Is my icing too thin? Can I just add more PS or should I make a new batch?
Thanks so much!

It sounds to me more that the icing is too thick.
If you really think it is too thin, yes, you can add more PS - no need to make a new batch.
Stir it in w/a wire whisk......it will be smoother.
W/that tip you don't want any small PS lumps to clogg the tip.

Thanks, kakeladi! I'll try thinning it a bit and see how that does.

If your icing is too thick, you will need to add a few drops of water at a time to thin it out.
