Yes, I'm from Logan. I love it here! We just got off active duty with the military so it is nice to be back. Any good cake stores in your area?
HOLY COW!! I thought I was the only one here in Utah! I am in Clinton which is 30 miles or so north of SLC.
I'm from Garden City, NY-- which is on Long Island --with 4 kids, 3 dogs and DH of 19 years
I'm from Allen Park, MI- just a couple miles south of Detroit.
I've always loved baking, but have never thought I was very good at decorating. I always do my children's birthday cakes, though- with just the frostings and gels you can buy at the grocery store. Some of my friends have started to ask me to do their cakes too, and I decided that I should learn more about it. I just found this site over the weekend, and I've already learned a lot. I'm doing a cake for a graduation this weekend. I will post a picture of it when it's done.
I'm from Madison, Wi.. been here for a long time now, ok I've lived in the area my whole life.
Ok since this is my first post I figured I'd put a little more info in here. I'm Loni, I'm 23.. and have been cake decorating since I was about 12. I started when I was in 4-H, our leader was a professional decorator who had a shop in her basement and I would help her with her wedding cakes and also would do graduation cakes when she got over whelmed and would teach with her when she had a county cake decorating workshop. I made one cake that won 3 awards including a Wilton award and was shown at Disneyworld and a few others that won trophies and such. I've always loved it, maybe someday I'll start my own thing. I don' thave any pics of my cakes up here, unfortunately I don't really have many pics of my cakes from the past in general..! but I'm doing a graduation cake (first one in a year or so) that I'm going to be going all out for.. I'll try to post up pics if I can. I just recently started finding my love for this again, and someone told me that nothing is worse in life than wasted talent, I know I'm pretty good at this so I'm trying to get back into it. Wish me luck And btw, nice to meet you all.
~Loni
