Its A Boy! Baby Shower Cake
My nephew and his wife were expecting a baby boy. They had a "Peter Pan" theme in mind so I made the cake to resemble a wooden boat with fondant decors. I put his name on the scroll in front and added a Wilton molded bear cake for the top. The thin icing piping tips I used made the bear look fuzzy :) The treasure map below shows that this little" treasure" lives in California and we live in CT... follow the dotted lines :) Ahoy, its a Boy!

Camping Cake
My kids love to camp and hike so for my daughter Tara's birthday I made a campground cake. A 2 layer cake with chocolate fudge icing. The fire pit had the birthday candles in the center and looked great when lit! I pipped green frosting for grass, fir tree & on the Pretzel sticks pines. Then ground Oreo cookies and graham crackers for the dirt and tent. Fruit roll up sleeping bags, tootsie rolls for logs & I added rocks (chocolate & granola chunks) to rock climb up to the site. She loved it! :)

White Birch Tree
A White Birch cake for my daughter engagement party:) The party was outdoors with a rustic woodland theme. I frosted the whole cake with off-white butter cream, and covered the sides with pure white, using my CakeCentral friend's recipe "Vmatos". It was delicious, easy and held up great in July. Using brown gel I painted the top wood swirl circles into the buttercream then added birch lines and stump divots to the sides. The imperfections made it look authentic. It was fun and the guests thought it was a real piece of wood! :) ( I ordered the cake topper from Esty)
