Homemade Wedding Cake!
Hey y'all, here is a picture of the cake I made for our wedding on Saturday. Three layers (12, 9, and 6) of white almond sour cream cake filled with buttercream and strawberry jam, then covered in buttercream. It wouldn't go on that well - kept having spots where the frosting didn't cover the cake and just wouldn't smooth properly despite the scraper and crumb coat etc - so I covered it with graham and chocolate at like three AM before the wedding and called it smores frosting! It looked ok to me in the end and I pretty proud (and drunkenly told people they needed to call me for any future parties -- woops!)
