I made this Christmas Tree for my youngest's teacher to say thank you for the wonderful job she has done with him. It's summer here so a smowy tree is complete fantasy! The wafer paper was painted gold at the tips and I sprinkled a little glitter over the top.
I whipped myself up a birthday cake and threw every cake trend I could think of at it. The naked cake is covered with Swiss meringue buttercream. The drip is royal icing painted gold. The wafer paper flower was edged with gold and the double barrel bottom tier was covered with edible gold leaf. Completely over the top but very delicious!
My youngest loves Plants vs Zombies so I decided to try a 3D cake and he loved it! The torso was all cake and the legs were RKT. The head was made with a styro ball, a skull mask from a craft shop and RKT - it was definitely the hardest part of the cake. My son loved his zombie, it was nearly as big as him, and his friends couldn't believe it was real. Mission accomplished!

A very modern wedding cake was chosen by my very trusting clients. Every second triangle and the plain tiers were painted with lustre and the flowers were made from wafer paper. The edges of the flowers were trimmed with silver leaf.
My take on a Gizmo cake using buttercream. I use fondant on all my cakes so for me this was a real challenge. Everything is edible and the cake was enjoyed.
