White cake with buttercream frosting, and royal icing for flowers, except the yellow fondant roses and leaves.

Course Ii Final Cake

Made with a Spice Cake and vanilla/butter flavored buttercream icing. All the flowers were made from Royal icing except for the Mums. I was surprised at how easy it was to make the basketweave and rope border!

This cake was a lot of fun to make! It is a lemon cake with buttercream icing for the basketweave and border, and royal icing for most of the flowers.

Birthday Cake

This is a milk chocolate cake with buttercream icing.

Course 1 Roses Cake

This cake was made with all buttercream icing. Tried out just learned technique of sweet peas on it and "dots". Also tried making swirl flowers, etc. ahead of time and placing on shell border. They crumbled some, because didn't let harden long enough.

Co-Worker's Birthday Cake

Made for a co-worker's birthday. French vanilla cake with butter/vanilla flavored buttercream icing. We found when you mix the two flavors together it tastes better than just plain butter or vanilla! Used decorator comb for sides.

Valentine's Day/birthday Cake

Made for co-workers for Valentine's Day, plus a lady's birthday. Strawberry flavored cake with butter/vanilla flavored buttercream icing. Writing was done by striping the decorating bag with burgundy coloring. Also used same technique for 3 of the roses, plus lacework around heart. Made large heart by setting cookie cutter on cake and filling with icing.
