This was my first paying job! I was so nervous to do it, because I've never been instructed in cake decorating...my friend just saw a cake I made and wanted me to make these for her daughter's birthday. I worked forever on them, and hope to be quicker if there is a next time! The cake has alternating chocolate and pink/ green layers, depending on the cake. It is chocolate buttercream frosting, and fondant decorations.
This is my first time trying a fondant bow! I'm a little embarrassed to post this because of all the spectacular cakes on this site that put mine to shame, but I had fun making it! It's a four layer cake with alternating layers of chocolate and strawberry, so it's pink and brown on the inside, too!
This is a red velvet cake with white chocolate pudding for a filling, and almond frosting...it was heaven!
This cake is a checkerboard cake on the inside. It is buttercream frosting with marshmallow fondant decorations. It was my first attempt at using (and making) fondant!
