5 years ago, on my younger sister's 16th birthday, my oldest sister passed away from ovarian cancer. Since that day, April 29th has just sucked. We always end up crying, for some reason it's ALWAYS raining, and nothing has ever worked out. This year, I threw her a HUGE surprise birthday party. Tons of her friends came out, and I made these two twinsie naked cakes. It was so much fun, and I hope this will end the horrid series of terrible birthday's for her.
I was asked to design a cake based off of a photo on the internet. I really believe my cake ended up better than the original inspiration! I didn't realize until after I was done, how much easier this would have been working my way inward instead of outward, but I will know to do that next time someone requests something like this! I wish they would have had a cake topper, but they forgot it! How do you forget something like that?! Lol! I piped that last rose on top AT the venue!
