Last minute cake. I like the BCT, but I don't like anything else.
I got a call at around 9pm from someone who was in bad need of a Last Minute Cake. They wanted the cake at noon today. I was so TIRED because I had just finished a half sheet earlier yesterday. They told me all they wanted was a beer bottle, so for a last minute cake, this is what I came up with.
This is a white cake with chocolate b.c. icing and filling. I tried to go for an elegant look by adding white roses with white leaves. I think it looks ok.
This was a true FIRST time trying to do scroll work. I think it looks ok. I'll get better though!
This was my first try at a butterfly even though I didn't have rice paper so I couldn't do that technique. So I thought of the next best thing: Fondant! I can honestly say that I didn't like doing these butterflies. Other than that, the cake looks okay besides my writing. I cannot center my writing to save my life. I'll get better I guess!

This cake was a disaster before it was made. The lady that ordered the cake wanted a cake with 4 themes (Lady Engineer, she loves tropical fish, she's moving to Savannah, GA, and her party was at a bowling alley. So...I decided that I wasn't going to make a fool out of myself and I decided to only put two of the themes( tropical fish, and moving to Savannah). Thanks for looking!

Simple cake with design taken from invitation. Elmo gave me HELL! I had to make 2 BCTs of him and they both broke BAD! But I ran out of time so I had to do "Emergency Surgery" (lol) on Elmo before the customer got here. But she LOVED IT! She was about to cry so that made it all worth it!
