The daughter wanted My Little Pony, the Mom wanted it to be Easter-themed, so we did both. I borrowed the idea from someone on this website, but forget the name, thanks!
All fondant brushed with black and silver (turned out purple). Picture doesn't do it justice, I thought it was really cool (so did the birthday boy).
Last minute birthday cake.
Lots of little baby clothes cut out of fondant. Clothes basket with baby clothes on the top.
I thought this was going to be the worst cake ever, she wanted some crazy ugly stuff. I kind of ended up doing what I wanted because I didn't want it to be the ugliest one ever and I think it turned out ok. The flowers were actually gorgeous, lustre dust, I love you!
Done for one of our friend's getting out of the Air Force.
Made on request for a 5-year-old little girl's birthday.
For our Chief's going away. It's our squadron patch. I hate those dark colors!
I can't remember who I borrowed this idea from, but I thank you. This was for two "older gentlemen" at work. They weren't wearing their reading glasses so they didn't even know what it said!! The rest of us had our laughs, though.
Sports ball pan decorated with buttercream for a Christmas Cake Sale at my daughter's school.
The lady said her daughter had to have a Cinderella shoe on her cake, so this was the best I could do on the time I had. This was actually the second shoe, the first one cracked and crumbled into a gumpasty mess.
Made for a friend of mine who likes to bowl, golf and likes the Cubs. He had a little "incident" with a substance while he was overseas so I had to put the weed and the stogie.
Last minute cake for birthday at work.
I suggested a rainbow cake (on the inside) and of course that's what she wanted! Each layer was baked separately and the corresponding color of frosting was in between each layer. Very time consuming, but well worth the reaction I got when I cut into it.
My Little Pony cake for a little girls' 5th birthday.
Hard to explain this. It was for someone going away and the building he's going to looks like that. He always complained he had to park so far away, so I put a parking spot with his "car" in the front spot. The cake wasn't even given to the guy, so it was all for naught. Oh well.
Thanks to Kitagrl, I went by her idea.
Closeup of the greenhouse cake.
Groom's cake with a greenhouse theme. All decorations are edible. Trees from sugar cones, bushes from marshmallows, tools, workbench, wheelbarrow from gumpaste, chocolate rocks, etc.
My second wedding cake. I bought the white gumpaste orchids, then handpainted them. The cake is carrot cake with ivory crusting buttercream frosting.
