I made this cake for my best friends sister's birthday. She decided to have an outdoor party in November. It was a yellow cake with fondant straps. This is the first time I have ever used fondant. So the straps look horrible. But it is also the first time I have ever done a cake that was "carved". I was sort of happy with the results.

Nephew's Birthday

Chocolate Roses

This cake was supposed to have dipped strawberries on top, but my customer decided at 8:00 pm to change her mind. So I made the roses out of the chocolate buttercream. I was not happy with this cake! But thought I would post to show you what not to do!! :-)
