4 Tier 'Rustic' Melted Candle Cake - Alternative A 4 tiered cake, 3 white tiers with small airbrushed areas to give an almost 'dusty' look (inspired by a creepy house vibe). Top tier is decorated to look like a melted candle.
This cake is right up my alley! The birthday boy has a very similar taste in music to me, so much so that I was able to recommend a few new bands to him as well as make his cake ;) The main cake is a 9 inch round vanilla cake and the amp on top is a 3 x 4 inch fruit cake covered in marzipan and fondant and then airbrushed black. I added the fondant details to replicate the mans own amp. The guitar is made from gumpaste and is completely edible. Again, this was modelled on his own guitar. His wife wanted me to incorporate his iPod and a few of his favourite bands into the cake so I made a fondant version of his iPod and added an edible image as the screen. I decorated the board to look like chequer plate steel (you can't get much more METAL than that right?) added a few generic 'badge' decorations, some cds with edible images (Guns n Roses, NoFX, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch and Foo Fighters) a few metal 'studs' and a 'leather' bracelet with the wording on to complete the theme!
Cake or Death? This cake is a 6 inch mudcake stacked almost 7 inches tall with Milkybar buttercream and Galaxy ganache. All details are handmade and edible. I made this cake for a fellow cake making friends birthday. Her spec was to try and incorporate a tattoo theme and to include inspiration from the popular Eddie Izzard sketch 'Cake or Death?', tea party and skulls. Pie, Mash & Liquer Cake - My weirdest request so far for a big Pie and Mash fan. Apparently the meal with the green liquer is very popular in London (still think it looks pretty darn odd though!) All decoration is handmade from fondant and Rice Krispies.

Big & Smalls - Girly, Princess themed cake and cupcakes. A 6 inch cake and 10 cupcakes. This was made for a friends little girl and it had to be pretty princess themed. All decorations are handmade and edible.
2 Tier Square Wedding Cake. Fruit cake tiers covered in white fondant and decorated with handmade gumpaste roses and arum/calla lilies. This was my first time making lilies and I need lots more practice but am quite pleased with them for a first attempt.
3 Tier White & Plum Wedding Cake - White cakes in 10, 8 and 6 inch rounds decorated with black fondant and handmade gumpaste roses. The roses were coloured to match the ribbon before being dusted with an iridesent lilac lustre.
