I'm pretty new to cake decorating (I've only done basic cakes and one super fug teapot cake a few years ago). I made this pancake stack cake for my dad for father's day. I gave it to him today and he loved it. I had so much fun making this and it was a lot easier than I anticipated (I followed the facebook tutorial by Royal Bakery). I eschewed the piping gel syrup b/c I've never used it before and was afraid it would eat into or melt the fondant (?) but I like how it came out regardless. :)
