Cornelli Lace
I should probably have put this under the "disaster" forum because when I put the topper on which was heavy crystal, it fell off and hit each tier on the way down. I was able to repair it and thankfully it fell on the back of the cake and it didn't break the topper! It was really stupid of me not to put it on something. I really thought a good glob of buttercream would do it. Live and learn!!

Barney's Bridge
A cake for twins celebrating their third birthday. Another difficult picture to see..I'm sorry. The bridge is styrofoam covered with fondant stones. Everything else is edible except for the figures. The water beneath the bridge is a really dark blue piping gel and there are candy rocks lining it.

Mom's Blue
My Dad died in Feb. of last year and my Mom is still very depressed so I made her this cake for Mother's Day hoping to cheer her up a little. Blue is her favorite color. Gumpaste flowers and bow, satin-ice covered. The bottom tier is white chocolate pound cake and the top tier is toffee crunch cake. Fondant ribbon fron Cal-java.com.

Pooh, Tree Stump
This was a save from a total disaster cake. It started out as a two-tiered pooh and piglet but as I was backing out of the driveway, I lost the top tier. No central dowel. Lesson learned. This one was almond cream cheese pound cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate fondant. Royal icing bees and flowers, fondant figure and blanket.

Baby Shower Onesie
This cake was for a baby shower but I was a t a loss on the colors because the customer wanted me to decorate it for an Auburn football fan. I wanted to do that and still incorporate the pastel colors somehow. And now I see that I went totally overboard with the flowers and buttons. Ack!
