Birdcage Cake made for my Mums birthday in September. This was a 6” cake, and was over 10” tall!!! I wasn’t intending it to turn out this big, but it turned out to be on the large size, and to think I brought a dummy cake because I didn’t think it was going to be tall enough…..have no idea what I was thinking!! Before I put on the decorations I was not loving this cake at all, but when it was finished it grew on me. Would love to do another one…but on a much smaller scale. Bottom was Baileys White Chocolate Mud, middle and dome were Red Velvet cake, and all were layered and filled with white choc ganache. My 5yr old sons review – “Cool mum, looks like a rocket ship landed in the garden” !!!!!
