Golden hand moulded gumpaste Bird of Paradise perched on top of a completely chocolate wedding cake (I covered it with SatinIce dark Belgian chocolate fondant, which was amazing to work with!). Exotic gold and chilli red details.
Wedding cake created in the shape of Chateau Challain, the venue where the couple were getting married. The cake contained LED lights on the ground floor so this shows the "day" and "night" views. Overall, the cake was about a metre long and had to be transported from North West England to mid-France.

This six tier cake was created for a lovely couple getting married in a grand hall near Liverpool, UK, The tiers were in ivory with varying heights and two different shapes. I replicated their stationery design in gold, hand painting the swirls and scrolls on each tier, and their initials on a plaque. The flowers matched the bride?s selection for her bouquet, including David Austin roses, lisianthus and hydrangea blossoms. The cake had quite a vintage feel, and the couple decorated the cake table with old family photos of weddings through the decades.
