Waterslide Cousins!
This cake was made for a girlfriend who wanted a "fun" cake when her nieces & nephews were in town this summer. Each of the waterslide kids is modeled after one of the children in the family, each was made out of chocolate clay! The cake is covered in MMF with blue decorators gel & sparkling sugars on top. The slide base is 2 ice cream cones (stacked) covered in chocolate clay with a graham cracker deck and icing ladder. The slide is blue laffy taffy on a cardboard base (too unstable without support!)...

Grandma's 92Nd
This cake was made for my Grandma's 92nd birthday. She is in a nursing home 4 hours away so my parents wanted something that would travel well; this Reynolds pan with cover worked perfectly@ The cake was a low-sugar yellow cake (Grandma is diabetic) with buttercream icing and chocolate clay roses and leaves. It was very simple; completely decorated in under 1 hour!!

1St Birthday
This cake was made for my best friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I wanted something pretty and girlie, and this is what I came up with! The cake is covered in mmf and all the details are chocolate clay. (A word to the wise-- chocolate clay melts quickly in 90 degree heat... but it survived through the cake cutting!) Also see her smash cake!

Baby Safari
I made this cake for my sister's baby shower. They are doing the baby boy's nursery with a safari theme, so I based the entire shower off that idea. The cake is filled with the absolutely scrumptious whipped chocolate ganache filling from this website, and covered in MMF. All the animals and the trees are made by hand out of chocolate clay; the grass and water are buttercream.

Tinker Bell
This cake was made for a girl turning 18 who loves Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell's flower stem was made from a styrofoam cone covered in gumpaste with a gumpaste flower. The flowers and stars on springs were also made from gumpaste. The cake was cavered in mmf and all other flowers and stars were also mmf. I brushed edible glitter on everything for a pixy dust effect. I found Tinker Bell at the Disney Store (after a massive hunt!) in a fairy playset.
