My first cake with a 'backdrop'. 7" vanilla sponge with white chocolate ganache. The customer absolutely loved it :)
This stood around 9" tall and caused all sorts of stress!! It was a for a lovely gentleman who had suffered brain damage as a child and has had learning difficulties ever since. He was over the moon with it - which made the stress all seem worth while!
This was for my youngest son, who wanted a cake with Superman, Spiderman and Batman! 2 chocolate mudcakes (8" & 5") with milk chocolate ganache.

My first 'bottle' cake. Lots of layers of vanilla sponge cake to build the crate. Loved making this as it turned out exactly as I had planned! Everything is edible apart from the 'curly' vines.

9" Vanilla cake. Fun to make, apart from the waves!! Also came downstairs the next morning to find the leaves had fallen off the palm tree, so had to crop them a bit! Customer was very pleased, as was the little boy :)

I wanted to do something different for my sons birthday. So instead of the usual football, I chose his other favourite thing....ice-cream! The bowl is chocolate cake and the ice-cream balls are giant cake pops smothered in buttercream.
This is the cake I made for my Sister's wedding last weekend. I was given free reign, providing it matched the green colour scheme! 3 tiers of lemon sponge, lemon curd and lemon buttercream. (it also had to be transported 200 miles!)
