Pink Castle Cake
This cake was for a joint 3rd birthday party, I was asked to do something pink, girly and sparkly, and they like fairies. I came up with this after looking at lots of photos online of castle cakes, I used techniques and ideas from a few different places and also a book I had. I really loved making this cake, it's probably one of my favourite cakes that I have made so far!

Prada Bag - Mark 2
I made this for a girl's 18th, it was somebody who had seen my original prada bag cake and wanted a slightly larger one, with more experience etc I think this one came out a LOT better, I have also improved greatly at covering cakes so the whole thing looked a lot better in my opinion, I was quite pleased with it although there was still room for improvement, this was modelled on a genuine prada bag (except the colour).

Atlas Cake
This cake was for my cousins Geography teacher as a gift because she was finishing her GCSE's. He loves chocolate cake so inside it was chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting. I came up with the idea of using a frozen buttercream transfer to do a map of the world, and she said he had the world clocks on his wall so we made those out of sugarpaste and piped the faces with chocolate, we forgot however to reverse the picture when we printed it so she did her best with the buttercream and we went for a more 'rustic' look! I think it still turned out really well and I think the teacher was very pleased with his end of year gift! :)

First Holy Communion Cake
This was my first 3 tiered cake, 12, 10 + 8 inch squares. I covered in sugarpaste and added gumpaste/flowerpaste decorations to the bottom two tiers and then piped the message on the top tier, the bread and grapes on top were made out of sugarpaste and brushed with some colouring & confectioners glaze to give a more realistic effect. I decorated it with silver ribbon and was really pleased with how this cake came out!

Mixed Theme Cake.
I made this cake for a ladys 70th birthday, I covered it in fondant and then decorated it all the way around with wafer paper photographs from her two favourite UK soaps, emmerdale and coronation street, as she is irish I kept the base colour white and decorated with green and orange ribbon to match the flag colours, and made a small topper out of flags & croft sherry which she loves. It was my first topper and I wish I had of made it a lot further in advance as it didn't have much time to dry and I was not particularly pleased with it!

Giant Golf Themed Cupcake!
I made this for a 25th birthday. Despite appearances it was actually lemon flavour with lemon filling! The recipient of the cake plays Golf, wears a flat cap and smokes a pipe so I incorporated all this into the design! The grass was piped with buttercream, royal icing and the smooth part was sugarpaste.
