The playbills are hand made entirely of fondant. The broadway birthday sign lights are edible pearls that I rolled in gold luster dust. TFL!

Louisiana Birthday Cake
I made this cake for a woman who loves everything about Louisiana, especially football. A friend of hers ordered the cake and wanted it to be purple and gold with a flour de lis somewhere on the cake. The cakes are both covered in buttercream with fondant accents. I covered the candles in gold fondant as well.

Girly Spring Dress
I made this cake in my spare time. Just kidding! I entered this in the North Texas Cake Show which took place on April 28th. The theme was April showers brings May flowers. So, I though I would make a cake that reminds me of all of the beautiful colors of spring which also reminded me of all of the cute dresses that little girls wear during the spring.. The bottom layers are fondant layers that I ran through the pasta attachment on my mixer at a #5. I then hand painted each one to look like gingham. The second tier had a plaid pattern that I made out of different colors of fondant. I brushed the buttons with egg whites to make them look like plastic buttons. I hand painted the roses. The quilling is all fondant. The heart pendant is isomalt. My cake placed first in my division. Thanks for looking!

La Quinceanera
I made this cake for a competition. My inspiration was the floral ribbon on the top tier that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I loved the color of the ribbon so much that I decided to make a cake that looked like a dress. Quinceanera dresses are always made in such beautiful, vibrant colors. All tiers are made of fondant. The buttons are made of royal icing with an edible pearl attached to each one. The roses are gum paste. The ruffles are individual rectangles cut from fondant and pinched together on each side to make a swag and then each one is glued with gum paste/water individually.

Mexican Wedding Cake
I entered this in a cake competition. I was inspired by all of the bright, beautiful colors found in Mexican pottery. I couldn't figure out what do do for the bottom tier and then I found this awesome pattern in the Wilton 2013 Yearbook. I cut circles out of fondant and folded them into triangles. The second tier from the bottom is like a pattern found on an embroidered Mexican dress. That layer is royal icing with a fondant gerbera daisy. The next tier is made of modeling chocolate ruffles which remind me of the dresses during Cinco de Mayo. The top tier has hand painted pottery dishes that were made of gum paste and painted with gel paste colors.

Green Ninjago
I made this cake for a five year old boy. He had a tae kwon do party and the Sensei cut the cake in half with a sword. The sculpted cake is white and wrapped in fondant. I made a mold out of a 3" X 5" piece of Lego and rolled fondant into the mold to make each piece for the cake board background.

Beach Cake
I made this cake for two sisters. They were celebrating their birthdays together and they had a pool party. Both of the cakes are white, covered with white buttercream and fondant accents. I constructed the upper dock posts out of PVC pipe and covered them with modeling chocolate. The bucket is an empty Satin Ice fondant bucket that I covered in fondant and filled, just at the top, with brown sugar to make it look like sand. The beach balls were made out of fondant.

Sugar Plum Cake Ball Tree
I made these cake balls for a little girl for her 5th birthday. Her mother came up with this great idea. Her daughter loves the story "The Sugar Plum Tree." She had asked me to make cake balls that would hang from the branches of the incredible tree that she constructed. I made 12 red velvet, 12 chocolate, and 12 white cake balls. I coated each cake ball in white chocolate tinted with orange, yellow, pink and purple color and then sprinkled each cake ball with sanding sugar. I inserted a florist wire through the cake ball and attached a ribbon to the wire.
