Made this for a cookie class i taught when I was a Wilton instructor. used various decorating techniques to demonstrate how many different things you can do.

Girl's Birthday Cake

daughter's 6th birthday cake made to match her "hippie chick"invitations.two ovals iced in chocolate buttercream.vines are buttercream.fondant flowers,butterflies,and number 6.animals are handmade from fondant also

Jungle Themed Baby Shower Cake

Victorian Baby Shower Cake

6" and 10" round tiers.fondant pink and mauve strips on the side.royal icing looks black in pic but is actually dark brown for side details-used wilton pattern press then piped over.handmade gumpaste carriage also dark brown royal icing for the detailing.handmade gumpaste roses in center.

Sesame Street Birthday Cake

Two stacked rounds, everything bc except musical notes.made them out of royal icing,let dry then attached with bc so they wouldn't be flat on the cake.characters are plastic cake toppers.

Sheet cake iced in buttercream.buttercream border.tinted piping gel blue for water.crushed graham cracker crumbs for sand.colored candy melts and used mold for shells,starfish.bc coral on sides.fondant coral on corners.topper is two cookies put together with royal icing to form shell and added fondant accents(idea is in one of wilton yearbooks)Ariel and flounder are toys.
