Cruella's New Fur Coat
101 Dalmatian cake. Very large cake at 21” tall. Everything made at an angle for added effect, and lights up behind Cruella at the door. Officially a year since I made my first cake, and my first fondant animal and figure, so really pleased with them. See how I made it on Facebook: A Flutter of Fondant Very time consuming cake. Hope you like it! :)

Do You Like My Fabulous Fur Coat, Dahlings?
101 Dalmatian cake. Very large cake at 21” tall. Everything made at an angle for added effect, and lights up behind Cruella at the door. Added the last pic as you get a better idea of the size. Officially a year since I made my first cake and my first fondant animal and figure, so I'm really pleased with them. Very time consuming cake. Hope you like it! :)

The Snowman Is Melting, Christmas Is Over For Another Year...
A cake I sent in the post from Glasgow to Worcester. As it is my first Christmas as a cake decorator, I used a few of my Christmas ideas and put them into one cake to send to my Gran who never gets to see my work. I sent the cake in 2 parts, and it survived apart from the slopping roof which needed reattaching.

Vintage Shelf with Perfumes The cake board is a hand-crafted shelf from foam board which was given a vintage look. The perfumes bottles are different flavours of cake, all with their own wee message written in French, translated as “Live well, Laugh often, Love much, Beautiful J”, and a 50 tag on the nail polish to represent the recipients special birthday.

Lit-Up Tangled Rapunzel Tower Cake
Tangled Rapunzel tower cake with tower that lights up. It stand at 24" tall with hand cut cake board and back drop. The cliffs are hand-painted fondant, with an icing-sugar sparkly waterfall and stream. The whole of the land is cake, the roof is RKT, completely edible and comes off to switch on the light in the tower. The tower is a hollow cake dummy which is pink and sparkly when you look through the windows. The figures are printed edible images as I wanted it to have an authentic Tangled Rapunzel look.

Rainbow In The Clouds
Cake for my Gran's 80th. I'm not religious but she loves rainbows due to God's promise, so I knew she'd love it if I based it on that. The base represented a stained glass window, and the dove carries an olive branch over the heart shaped rainbow in the clouds to show the water is receding after the floods. The heart is a butterscotch cake and sits in a RKT cloud. The base is half choc and peanut butter, and half lemon coconut cake.

'vienetta Ice Cream' Cake
This cake was made for someone who hates Vienetta ice cream. They wanted it to look as real as possible to wind the person up. It ain't perfect, but hey, it's ice cream so it could be melting! lol First cake that someone has bought from me that wasn't family. Didn't picture it complete on the cake board as my camera batteries ran out!

Birdcage Cake
Only my 2nd cake. A fondant cake that I made for my Mum's birthday yesterday - she is shabby chic and birdcage mad so this was perfect for her. I've never made anything from fondant before so was pleased with my wee birds and roses, but there are many imperfections as it was a bit of a rush job (the gel food colours only arrived in the post in the afternoon and I needed the cake that evening). All considered, I think it turned out pretty good. I'm just learning and teaching myself, so it's great to have occasions when I can practice and be creative. :)

Chocolate Box Cake
First cake I've ever made. Victoria sponge, jam, butter cream and fondant. Learned the hard way that it ain't as easy as it looks, especially with buttercream that was too soft under the fondant! Still, in the end it didn't look too bad (with the help of shop bought chocolates), and I actually sold this cake to someone who was very happy to give it as a gift to their girlfriend on Valentine's Day. :)
