This was a lot of first's for me! This is my first "real" cake making experience. First time making MMF and decorating a cake with it. All my decorations are MMF, including the "green". The grass and the sides are buttercream icing. The siding of the cake was smooth, but I would like to learn to make it even smoother, the way I see cakes on this website, but practice makes perfect I guess! Overall, I was pleased with this cake and look forward to getting better at it! As always, advice/comments are much appreciated! Thanks :)
First time doing ribbon roses, or really decorating a "cake" at all (it's styrofoam). I was super rushed and just trying it out. It's only up from here!!! hopefully... :) Thanks for looking and any advice/comments are very welcome!!
First time doing ribbon roses out of modeling chocolate. Did these in a hurry for a valentine's dessert. Roses are modeling chocolate, cupcakes are dipped in a "petit four" icing, which is just powdered sugar and corn syrup (just a simple glaze), had to dip twice to get them white.
