Star Wars / Wwii Cake
I was asked to make a friend's husband's - and also his twin brother's - 40th birthday cake, and was asked for a combination of star wars meets world war II theme as these are their twin passions... this is what I came up with... Luke Skywalker arm in arm with a WWII soldier! well at least it's unique! :)

Dragon On His Castle 1St Birthday Cake!
This cake was made for a friend's little boy's first birthday. He was given the middle name Dragon, for the chinese new year that he was born in, so I thought it would be cute to dress him up in a dragon costume! The castle design was from the Royal Bakery 'Hello Kitty' castle cake (which I think was based on one by Yummy Cupcakes). Thanks for looking :)

Vintage Birdcage Cake
I made this cake for a 40th birthday party, having wanted to do a birdcage cake for ages, and I am really pleased with the way it turned out (despite having several cake disasters with it along the way)! The cake is chocolate/ganache on the lower tier and lemon with lemon buttercream/raspberry jam and white choc ganache under fondant on the top. The design was inspired by a lovely cake by McGreevy's Cakes and I also found Zoe Clark's fab book "Cake Decorating at Home" (which has instructions for a birdcage cake) very helpful in making this!

Hello Kitty Cake
A girly cake for my cousin's 5-year-old daughter. So loved making this - been wanting to make a Hello Kitty cake for ages! I used a couple of tutorials for the bow - Shereen's Cakes and Bakes (on her Facebook page) and Royal Bakery (on Youtube) which were fab, really detailed! Thanks for looking :)

Rainbow Birthday Cake ('show Me Show Me')
I made this birthday cake for my little girl's 3rd birthday. She loves the (UK) CBeebies show "Show Me Show Me" and especially likes singing Mo Mo Bot's song about rainbows! I used Royal Bakery (Englishcakelady)'s tutorial to make the clouds - I think it is still available to buy from Etsy. This was a really fun cake to make!
