My sister loves her coffee so i thought this would be cute for her. I am a beginner and this would make about my fourth or fifth novelty cake. Everything is edible, except for the card with writing. I broke the spoon about 3 times lol. I enjoyed making this and I used the back empty spots to sit her gifts on.
This was my first purse cake and about my third or fourth novelty cake. I tried to paint the stripes and got tired lol, so the sides are not painted as well. It was just a practice cake my family ate. I am a beginner baker.
This chocolate cake was for my niece's 30th Bday. It was three 8" cakes stacked, chocolate icing, ganache (that was kinda thin) and topped with strawberries. I made the twirly chocolate and 30 out of chocoalte almond. And for the shoe, I hand molded it out of polymer clay and painted it. I added some "diamonds" on the strap and I painted "thirty" on the shoe tag. This was something she could keep since she is a shoe lover! Next time I think I will use wooden dowels, the cake didn't move, but it did get saggy.
This is actually the first cake I have tried to decorate using the fondant and gumpaste decorations. I ended up painting it, wrong idea, came out shiny and the color never dried. lol.
This was my first try with MMF. It was just a very small cake and I was so tired after all of that work I didn't decoate it. lol
