Tie - Dye T-Shirt Cake
The Tie - Dye T-Shirt Cake was made for a theme party. The inside of the cake was also a rainbow marbled cake, as seen in the bottom left corner.
Element Skateboard Cake
My Element Skateboard cake was made with a MMF and I constructed the trucks like they were real, one piece at a time then put it together like an actual board. The birthday boy de assembled it and was in shock how perfectly it was done. I used raw spaghetti noodles to hold everything in place.
Cars Cake View 1
2 tier cars cake, sat over 24 hours before I got a good pic, so to me it looks droopy :( But all in all the kids loved it.
Gumpaste roach from the top of my Wall-E cake ( http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1300241 )
This was 2- 9 inch hearts with 3- 3 inch hearts coverd in colored white chocolate fondant. Each cake was a different flavor, chocolatem and strawberry were the big ones and the smaller ones were yellow cakes. I used liquid food coloring with a lil vodka to thin it out then used a paintbrush to dab it to make it look like it bled, but the letters ran instead. non the less this was a wonderful and fun cake. and I had the girls helping out too!
pricness cake, for my princess. It was made in 6 hours baking and cooling time included. no freezing time for carving cake. turned out good enough :) inside was chocolate and strawberry cake with a cream cheese buttercream filling.
My First Pillow Attempt
this is my first attempt at a pillow and it was much smaller than the directions. I took a rectangle cake and cut it in half. Not htinking how it was smaller i stil cut it an inch in for the curves when i probably should have been about a half inch. Lesson learned.
both of these broke, but i shortened them on each side so they were symetrical... i think they look ok. definately not the final product
3 9" cake rounds top two carved down. This was a red velvet cake with cream cheese fillling and mmf for covering. My first time making and using mmf, crisco was in the instructions to making this and rolling it out, however i think it came out rather shiny.
