Carson's 4th Birthday Cake. Cake is 10" chocolate with buttercream frosting. All decorations are fondant. Did the batman logo in RI, but it cracked and had to do this one quickly.

Made a lemon curd cake for a customer, had a bit leftover and thought this would be cute. Lemon curd isn't so distinct, but think of the possibilities! Could do a coulis, chocolate mousse (or any other kind, or that matter). So cute for a baby shower, wedding shower, or ladies luncheon
10" lemon cake with buttercream and lemon curd filling. Pier is made from cake as well. All covered in homemade fondant. Not in love with my face, he looks like a muppet. Oh well. Did discover that I can add tylose powder to fondant and make a gumpaste that is so wonderful to work with. Got some ideas from another poster here, can't remember her name though, but totally stole the worm bucket. How cute!
Dr. Seuss cake for a friend having twins, a boy and a gir. Plan A was to use cotton candy for the truffula trees, but the humidity in the air melted them within a few minutes. Pom Poms were cute, but could use some suggestions for three dimensional ideas for the tops. Fish were fondant with edible markers.

6" chocolate cake decorated to look like a koi pond. Tree stump is mini chocolate cake iced with chocolate ganache. My first time making a human figure, came out okay, but lots of work!

Seminole made from royal icing. All other decorations made from fondant. This was a last minute cake so I kept it as simple as possible.
A friend wanted a mountain cake with motorcycles and this is what I came up with. Wish I would have carved the top of the mountain peak better (my daughter says it's a hill!). Trees are all handpainted, some are better than others. Gravel on path is black fondant I chopped up.
Made this Hello Kitty cake for a teenager, tried to make it a bit more sophisticated than usual. And I'm loving this blue (used for the flowers) right now. Flowers are made from gumpaste, kitty from fondant.
This is my second attempt at making fondant figures. The monkey was fine, but the fingers were horrible. Need more practice on that.

Pontoon boat made of gumpaste and fondant. One of the pontoons broke and I smudged some the painting (first attempt on a cake) and I wished I had marbled the blue better, but overall I am pleased with the results

Golf cake with North Carolina logo on golf ball. Argyle was a little difficult, needed to add some water to royal icing, but overall came out ok.
Made this cake for my husband's birthday; he's a real enthusiast. Picture taken in his poker room (aka garage) and yes, that's a jeep in the background! Really pleased with how it turned out!
Rapunzel's Tower using RKT. All decorations are hand piped with royal icing and hand painted.
This is my first time using a frill cutter and last day of fondant class. Could have used another hour to get the ruffles better, but happy with the look overall.
