Xbox 360 Cake
This is a life-size replica of an xbox360 groom's cake. Cake is covered in fondant. Everything is edible except the power ring, which was an 80s style rubbery plastic bracelet. Fondant was indented for logo and air holes. Drive door is painted with silver petal dust mixed with vanilla extract. Black accents were drawn with food writer marker.

Star Wars Scene Birthday Cake
This cake was for my nephew's birthday. He wanted the scene from Star Wars where the Emperor fights Yoda. I purchase the figures and made the base for them from RCT covered in fondant. The silver accents are cut from fondant and painted with silver petal dust mixed with vanilla extract. Happy birthday words are chocolate poured into a mold. Lightsabers are fondant/gumpaste covered with colored sugar. Cake is fondant covered with a BC icing border. This was my first stacked cake. The round cake was checkerboard inside (yoda green and brown), but I didn't get a photo.

Legend Of The Guardians - Owls On Tree Stump
Birthday cake for my nephew based on the movie Legend of the Guardians. The owls are two of the main characters from the movie, Soren and Glyfie. Cake is all buttercream icing. I used a metal spatula to rough in the bark using two different shades of chocolate icing. Icing was first piped on using a star tip in random bands. Owls are rice cereal treats covered in fondant, with fondant additions and painting with icing colors.

Penguin Graduate Cake Balls
I made these for my cousin's high school graduation. The penguin body is cake ball, shaped by hand. Feet and beaks are candy fish, similar to Runts. Top of mortar board hat is Chocolate squares (Ghirardelli, I think), covered in red candy melts. Base of hat was candy melts formed in small PB cup mold. Tassel is Twizzlers pull and peel attached with red mini M&M. I used a spoon to add the thick layer of white candy over the black.
