Was inspired by a couple cakes on CC, thank you for that. Wanted to go old school and created texture with buttercream but did go with mmf for road & signs. Cinnamon swirl white cake with caramel apple bc filling.
Buttercream frosted w/fondant cut outs. Booties are real, part of the gift.
Once again I traveled to relatives with my supplies to do this cake for my cousins. Fondant & buttercream. Their grand daughters got to help me by making fondant balls used on the cake.
Another wedding cake for a family member (nephew) had to travel with supplies and use a sister's kitchen to do this cake for my nephew and new niece's wedding last winter.
This was my first attempt at covering entire cake in fondant, at Topsy-Turvy and I'd say my biggest disaster but was able to have it come together, she was happy and was able to get an ok picture.
Done for some wonderful friends, this cake was designed after their wedding cake 50 years ago (not done by me!! :) Buttercream frosting & decorating. Children and grand children's names used in the decorating to represent their life together.

Buttercream frosting & piping with fresh flowers
Quick cake for friends Mom. Fondant with painted flowers and buttercream drop flowers for texture.
This baby shower cake for a niece was designed after her wedding cake I did 2 years prior.
My niece gave me a picture of the Wilton Paisley cake - this is what we did to go with her wedding colors and theme. Cut out the shapes rather than use the shaped pans. Used her silk flowers - had to travel with supplies and use sister's kitchen to do this for her.
