There are a lot of Cars themed cakes out there, so when I was asked to do one featuring Lightening McQueen, I wanted to do something with a really unique feature to it and came up with this desert arch idea. I love it! What do you think???
For my Niece's "Western Cowgirl" themed par-tay. Chocolate and Vanilla cakes with buttercream. The "haybale" is styrofoam.
One of my great joys and the reason I got into cake decorating was to celebrate my beautiful son. This year we had a marvellous balloon sculptor/magician come to entertain his friends so I decided to run with the "magic" theme. I tried some new techniques for his cake and learned a lot!! So grateful for my engineer hubby who helped me design and construct the framework for the cake!! Cake specs: the "magicians table" is one layer chocolate and one layer french vanilla with vanilla buttercream between. Top hat is a 6", three layer carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream!! Other goodies include chocolate topped cereal treats, chocolate covered marshmallow top hats and a giant gummy balloon dog!!
