One of my good friends called in the a.m. and needed 2 cakes for the p.m. And, being the good friend that I am, of course accomadated (ha, ha). Was told the birthday girl liked LSU and basketball, so this is what I came up with.

Again, done for picture purposes. All of the cookies I did today were my first experience with royal icing. I found it to be easier than buttercream for cookies, but I do not like the taste of it. If anyone has suggestion I would be glad to hear them. Thanks.

This cake was a nightmare! I tried to do a transfer of a pic of my little pony, but it was too small and turned out to look more like a burro (so says my husband). I then tried to "fix" it by putting the smaller cake on top and going to Walmart and getting the toy. When placing in the box, it cracked. I doctored it up best I could. They will be picking it up sometime today. Good riddance! I really just wanted to cry. Hope they are satisfied.
