Birthday girl (husband's grandmother) wanted patriotic theme. Stars and 80 are gumpaste, painted with nu silver dust and sprinkled with silver sparkles. Everything else is fondant. Wish I would have made the blue stripes wider and darker, oh well. Swag was a PIMA! TFL!

8" round cakes, carved into cupcake shape. Cupcake "paper" is fondant, didn't come out quite like I wanted. Candle, flowers and name plaque are fondant. TFL!
Parents are pro cyclists, tricycles on the invite, hence the tricycle on the cake. There is another trike on the opposite side of the top tier with the other baby's name on it. Babies are fondant, trikes are a mix of fondant and royal icing. Silver is silver highlighter dust.
Ribbon on dress is fondant brushed with super pearl, monogram is painted with super pearl. Fondant roses. TFL!
Golf cake and golf ball smash cake for first birthday.
I used the petal pan for this and carved out the petals for the daisy. Ladybug is cake cut out with large round cutters, then carved into a ball. Name and number are gumpaste brushed with luster dust. I had a lot of fun with this cake.
An all pink cake for my girly-girl niece. Fondant covered, luster dust and sparkle dust brushed on dots.
I realized on the way home that I forgot to add Buzz's antennae. I blame it on the pregnancy brain.
Fondant ribbon and bows on fondant covered cake. The fondant cracked horribly on a couple of the tiers, luckily you can't see it in the pictures. Hopefully, nobody at the wedding got a good look at it!
So the princess's head is too small for her body, I need to work on figure modeling. This cake was for a sip and see, where people come have a drink and see the baby after it's born. All decorations are fondant, except royal icing dots. Last time I did a royal icing tiara, it broke into a million pieces, so I thought I'd try to make a crown from fondant instead. At least it didn't break!
The bride wanted a very simple cake. Iced in buttercream with a fabric ribbon and royal icing border.
This was for a friend who was going to a seersucker party for the Kentucky Derby. And they were going to be playing bocce, so that's what is on top. Seersucker stripes and grass are buttercream, daisies are royal icing, bocce balls are fondant.
The wife of the birthday guy wanted an Elvis theme, but that was all she told me! So this is what I came up with.
This was for a child's birthday party. They had a "tumble bus" come to their house, so they wanted a bus shaped cake.
This was the bride's design. It's definitely different from the other cakes I have done. My issue with the design, since it is so exact, is you can't move decorations around to hide mistakes, ha!

Cake is covered in fondant with fondant leaves and acorns. Oh, and I painted it with gel food coloring.
This is the cake for the shower that wasn't. Gumpaste bra, tissue paper, lid and bow, everything else is fondant. I did have a lot of fun making this one. Luster dust on the bra, panties and lace.
8" and 6" layers, and a 3" smash cake for a first birthday. Covered in fondant, all decorations are fondant and fondant/gumpaste mix. The rays of the sun are fondant/gumpaste stuck on with gumpaste and royal icing. The clouds are royal icing, as is the writing on the plaque. I had a lot of fun with this one! Inspiration came from several different cakes on this site! If you have made a cake with bugs or a sun, thank you!

I made this cake for my niece's 5th birthday. She requested a "fishy cake" and they were having a waterslide for her party. Everything but the slide is fondant, the slide is gumpaste.
